To improve security and visibility in schools, the Municipal Chief Executive for Sekyere South, *Hon. Evans Amoah Twumasi*, has donated *more than 30 streetlights* to Senior High Schools across the Municipality.
The streetlights were distributed to headteachers of the various senior high schools at a brief ceremony in the Municipality.
According to the MCE, the initiative forms part of government’s commitment to creating a safe and conducive learning environment for students and staff across the country.
Hon. Twumasi noted that improved lighting on school compounds will help curb theft, enhance security for evening studies, and make campuses safer for both students and teachers.
Headteachers who received the items expressed appreciation to the MCE and the Assembly for the timely intervention, promising to ensure the lights are properly installed and maintained.
