*NPP IN ASHANTI REPEATING SAME MISTAKES THAT CAUSED 2024 DEFEAT – PROF. OTCHERE ADDAI-MENSAH WARNS*

Former CEO of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, *Prof. Otchere Addai-Mensah*, has broken down the current crisis in the Ashanti Regional NPP, warning that the party is repeating the same mistakes that led to its humiliating defeat in 2024.

In a deep analysis that is generating discussions, Prof. Otchere Addai-Mensah said the NPP in Ashanti is on the same destructive path.

Here is a breakdown of what he said:

*1. There Was Hope:*
When the current Ashanti executives led by COKA were elected, everyone was happy. Party faithful thought factionalism, insults and division were over. There was hope that lessons had been learnt from 2024.

*2. But The Hope Is Fading:*
That hope is now fading. The old cracks are appearing again. Now it is Wontumi camp vs COKA camp, fighting over who becomes Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate. Same factionalism, just different faces.

Before, it was Sarfo Raphael, Dr. Francis Adomako and others vs Chairman Wontumi. Today, it is Dennis Kwakwa, Auntie Beatrice Owusu, Martin Ameyaw, Amofa Jantuah vs COKA camp. The actors have changed, but the disease is the same.

*3. Ashanti Is Too Important To Joke With:*
Prof. stressed that Ashanti is the heart of NPP. You cannot talk about NPP winning 2028 without fixing Ashanti first. If Ashanti is divided, NPP cannot recover.

*4. This Is Not Just About Personalities:*
He argued that if every leadership brings the same fight, then the PROBLEM is structural. The party has no proper system for resolving conflict and building unity.

*5. NPP Should Stop This Dream:*
Thinking that “Mahama will fail so we will automatically win 2028” is LAZY thinking, he warned. Ghanaians will not vote for NPP just because they are angry with NDC. NPP must SHOW it is disciplined, united and ready to govern better.

*6. His Warning:*
– Leadership is not about money or popularity. It is about maturity, uniting people and emotional control.
– A party that cannot govern its own internal affairs cannot govern Ghana.
– If you do the same things you did in 2024, you will get the same results.
– The time for fake unity photos and nice speeches is over. The party needs honest conversation and discipline.

*His final question that hit hard:*
_”Did 2024 teach us anything at all? Or did we just feel embarrassed for a few months and went back to business as usual?”_

He concluded that the clock is ticking and Ashanti needs urgent attention.

*THE HORNS OF THE ALTAR!!*
