NDC Women working Committee Sensitized on campaign promises to canvas votes in Ashanti

The Ashanti Regional Women’s working committee has been sensitized on the policies and programmes promised by the party towards winning the upcoming general elections.

Abass Nurudeen, the Ashanti Regional Communication officer of the party at the programme explained that, winning this year’s elections would largely depends on women, and for that matter, policies that could improve the socioeconomic status of women must be prioritize and better explained to them to buy it them to influence their decision on the elections day.

He encourage them to embark on active campaign to the market places and explained to the women and business men and women in women’s development Bank promise by the NDC to be establish when wins the upcoming general elections.

Speaking at the sensitization workshop Organized by the Regional Women’s Organizer and her Executives, he expressed the the need to embark on a “door-to-door” campaign to explain the party’s “Women Development Bank” promise to women, especially traders in the region.

The party has promised to establish the Women Development Bank to enable women to access loan facilities to establish and expand their businesses when wins the December general elections.

According to the party, the Women Development Bank would enable women to support their husbands and families to make earns meet economically

The women working committee which was recently inaugurated in the region is determined to ensure that through vigorous campaign the residents especially women would understand and buy into the idea to ensure that the NDC wins power come December 7th elections.

Madam Gloria Hudzi, the Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser of the party, briefing the media during a meeting with the party’s women’s wing working committee to sensitized them with the understanding of the Women Development Bank, said they will be embarking the on a door-to-door campaign to explain the promises and effects of the Bank on the socioeconomic development of the women.

According to her, their target group would be at market centres and women groups among others to understand the benefits of the Women Development Bank and the policies and programmes promised by the party towards the elections.

She, therefore, urged the women’s wing to unite and go out in their numbers to campaign vigorously by explaining the significance of the Bank promise and other policies to enable the party emerge a resounding victory come December.
