The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sekyere Kumawu, *Hon. Kwasi Amankwaa, popularly known as Tommy Cee*, has undertaken two important assignments aimed at boosting local economic development and improving education in the district.

On Thursday, Hon. Amankwaa witnessed the official handover of the *Temante Gari Factory* to the *Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly*. The factory, which is expected to create jobs and add value to cassava produced in the area, is seen as a major boost to the local economy and the government’s industrialization agenda.
According to the DCE, the Assembly will ensure the factory is put to good use to benefit farmers, women groups, and the youth in the Temante area and beyond. He said revamping the facility will promote agro-processing, reduce post-harvest losses, and create sustainable employment.

In a related development, Hon. Kwasi Amankwaa also handed over a number of *chairs to the Ghana Education Service (GES)* for onward distribution to schools across Kumawu.
The gesture is to address furniture deficit in some basic schools and to improve the teaching and learning environment for pupils and teachers.
Speaking at the short ceremony, Hon. Amankwaa reaffirmed his commitment to investing in both economic infrastructure and education, stressing that development must be balanced.

_”Two important engagements focused on promoting local economic growth and improving the teaching and learning environment. Together, we are moving Sekyere Kumawu forward,”_ he noted.

Stakeholders in the district have commended the DCE for his proactive leadership and dedication to the development of Kumawu.
