The Ashanti Regional Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) for Ashanti has extended their warmest congratulations to one of their own, Professor Edward Brenya for his promotion to a Professor of Political Science and Public Administration at the Department of History, Political Science and Public Administration at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
The groups also extended their profound gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Board of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation for appointing Prof. Edward Brenya as a member of the Education Committee of the Foundation.
While extending the congratulations, the Ashanti Regional TEIN Coordinator, Asumah Moro, on behalf of the Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer indicated that the promotion and appointment of Prof Brenya while not exceptional, is a testament to Prof. Brenya’s contributions to academia and dedicated service to Asantemam and mother Ghana.
Asumah Moro, doubling as Metro Mass Transit Ashanti Regional Boss reiterated that Professor Brenya has been a great icon of the NDC students’ front in the Ashanti region, therefore his recent promotion and appointment will be a great inspirations to many of the youth especially the members of TEIN.
“His elevation is a testament to his hard work and dedication. He has supported the party, especially in opposition serving as both the Patron of TEIN at KNUST and also as the Research Director for the Youth Wing of the NDC in Ashanti region. He hails from this region, so his achievement is motivation for some of us as TEIN members,” Asumah Moro said.
“He’s a great asset to the party and we’re proud to have him as our patron. His achievement is a reminder that our efforts and resilience in openly serving the party against all odds are yielding results. I therefore urge other comrades on tertiary educational campuses to emulate his resilience and dedication to the party even in opposition’ he added.
Currently, Professor Edward Brenya is the Chairman of the Governing Council of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), and also the Head of the Department of History, Political Science and Public Administration at KNUST.
The Ashanti Regional TEIN Coordinator Mr. Asumah Moro also expressed his profound gratitude to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ii for giving Prof Brenya the opportunity to serve on the Education Committee of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation .
“ He was the foundational Administrative Manager of the Otumfuo Education Fund and a beneficiary of the Otumfuo Education Fund, therefore I’m certain that he will bring his expertise to bear on the decisions of the Committee’ he said.
TEIN congratulates Prof. Brenya on his achievements and wishes him continued success and impactful contributions to the NDC in the region, KNUST, Asanteman and Ghana.

Moro told journalists that TEIN also urges the government to recognize Prof. Brenya’s achievement and promote him accordingly especially in the field of academia.
