Mr.Opoku Mensah, Ashanti Regional NSS Director stormed the Manhyia hospital in Kumasi,the Ashanti Regional Capital yesterday just to insult a nurse on duty who tried to correct his daughter who is also a Doctor doing her service(House officer) at the same hospital for prescribing wrongful dosage to a patient.
The daughter of Opoku Mensah prescribed iv diazepam 120mg tds x24 hours for a two year old child with convulsion of which she was called upon on phone and was insulted by a senior nurse at the facility, according to Opoku Mensah.
Opoku Mensah was not cool with the kind of intimidation meted out to her daughter at the facility and stormed the place yesterday , insulted the nurse for being unprofessional by not reporting his daughter to the administration but rather subjected her into insult.
Our intelligence has it that,the nurses are up in arms against him and want him sacked as NSS boss for such behavior and misconduct.
The Ashanti regional branch of GRNMA has also issued a 72 hour ultimatum to government to sack the NSS Boss else they will leave the hospital for Opoku Mensah and his daughter to run the hospital.
