The Royal family of Kuntenase-Edwenase in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti region have makes a passionate appeal to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene to intervene to reinstate Nana Owusu Duampetri, the Chief of the community been distooled.
Nana Kwasi Agyemang, the Head of Edwenase Royal family and Caretaker of the community at a press conference explained that one of their uncle Mr Yaw Barimah accused the Chief in the palace of Barimah Amankwah Aduna Ababio II, paramount Chief of Kuntenase that Nana Owusu Duampetri had sold all the lands in the jurisdiction of Edwenase, Evacuated their cemetery for private developer, Killed all goats in the community, destroyed the palace and disrespectful.
According to him, the allegations lead to the paramount Chief of Kuntenase to distooled Nana Owusu Duampetri, the Chief of Kuntenase-Edwenase and indeed there is no Chief for the community for sometime now.
Nanà Agyemang stressed that all the allegations against the Chief of Edwenase that led to his destolment by the paramount Chief of Kuntenase was calculated out of hatred and was false accused by their own uncle Yaw Barimah.
He stated that since the destolment of Nana Duampetri the community has no substantive Chief which he said is affecting the development of the community.
Nana Agyemang on behalf of the community is pleading with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene to reinstate Nana Owusu Duampetri who was falsely accused and destoled for sake of a lasting peace and the total development of the community.
The family expressed worry over the stagnant state of all developmental projects and initiatives by Nana Duampetri after he was destoled over what he described as false accusations.
He disclosed that the community has being in darkness for over a month because of electrical changes, and because there is no substantive Chief in the community there is no one to intervene for the residents to get reconnected to the national grid.
