Ashanti Regional NDC Members Protest at DVLA Office Over Return of Former Director

Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region have stormed the regional office of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to protest the return of former DVLA Director, Amos Abeka.

Wearing red armbands, the angry NDC members stated that a farewell party had been organised for Abeka, indicating that he is no longer in charge of the region.

However, they were informed that he has been granted an additional year in his position despite the appointment of a new substantive director, his deputy.

Speaking to the media at the DVLA office today, they announced plans to return on Monday to forcefully install the newly appointed regional director.

Hopeson Keku, the regional Research Director of the NDC, expressed their determination to resist any attempt to bring Abeka back to the region.
