A philanthropist, Businessman and politician Chairman Owusu Bempah has handed over a well completed merchannize borehole to Sokoban community in the Nhyiaso Constitutency.

At the short ceremony to handover the kind gesture which cost him over ¢50,000, Mr. Bempah said this forms part of his yearly birthday gift to some communities within the Nhyiaso Constitutency. Currently he is also Patron for NPP Council of elders in the Nhyiaso.

According to Chairman Owusu Bempah, this borehole has added up to three of such projects at South Suntreso, Atasamanso and Sokoban respectively in the past three years. He advised the Assembly Member and the community leaders to take proper care of the facility.

Speaking on behalf of the chief of Sokoban, Abusuapanin Kwadwo Poku recounted how the community has struggled to get potable water since their main source of water was disconnected eight months ago during the construction of their roads.

Abusuapanin thanked Chairman Owusu Bempah for the gesture and promised to support him in prayers. He said promised Nananom will forever be grateful for this support and will support him in any cause if that will help bring development to their community.
On his part, the Assembly Member for Sokoban electoral area, Honorable Kwadwo Boateng was so delighted for such a project especially fighting for this for almost a year.
