Duker commits to Bankyim community dev’t as he donates streetlights among others

The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency in the Western Region, Mr George Mireku-Duker, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, engaged with the vibrant Bankyim community.

 

During this fruitful meeting, he shared the progress and achievements made since he took office as MP.

He outlined the vision of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and their esteemed candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the December elections approach.

The Deputy Minister addressing various concerns raised by community members emphasised the importance of collective efforts and unity in driving development and progress.

He called upon the community for their continued support to work towards a brighter future for their constituency and nation.

During the meeting, Mr Mireku-Duker made several donations:

• 10 streetlights to improve visibility in the community

• GH₵20,000 to fully support this year’s Bankyim Community Carnival Festival

• 30 bags of cement and GH₵6,000 to fully complete a community bridge project

He also expressed his unwavering support for the development of a small-scale mining concession in the community, which is expected to create thousands of jobs.
