NDC campaign launch: Ghana is in crisis – Shamima Muslim as she endorses Mahama

Former broadcast journalist Shamima Muslim has expressed strong criticism of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership, accusing President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Bawumia, and Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh of deep mismanagement and recklessness.

“Today our nation is in crisis, our nation is at the cross roads because of the deep mismanagement and recklessness of the NPP under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, Bawumia and Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh (Napo),” she stated.

She highlighted the current economic hardships and the NPP’s campaign to “Break the 8” despite these challenges.

Sharing a personal experience, Shamima Muslim recounted how she was heartbroken when she took her daughter to the clinic and found a shortage of vaccines, while President Akufo-Addo was traveling in luxurious private jets and urging citizens to tighten their belts.

She questioned whether such a leader and government truly cared for the people.

Speaking at the launch of the NDC campaign in the Northern Region on Saturday, July 27, 2024, Shamima Muslim who has now joined the NDC called on fair-minded Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama in the December 7 election.

She described Mr Mahama as a nation builder, a trusted and honest leader who acknowledges challenges and does not blame others.
