Ashanti region would change their voting partten to support developmental agenda of NDC in 2024 elections

Hon. Eric Opoku, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asonafo South constituency in the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a member of Parliamentary committee on Food,
Agriculture, Cocoa Affairs and Appointment committee has expressed optimistic that, the electorates in the Ashanti region would show appreciation for the developmental agenda of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) come 2024 general elections.

According to him, the electorates in the region now realize that the NDC is the party that has the development of Ashanti region at heart anytime they are in government as compare to the governing New Patriotic (NPP) which rely on the region votes to win elections.

Speaking at the two days orientation programme for the party’s communicators from the Ashanti regions in Kumasi, he was of the view that, the electorates in the Ashanti region now realize that,they are been cheated by their belove NPP party which always ride on the shoulders of their votes in winning political power.

He stated that, when the NPP are in government development always eludes the people in the region but anytime the NDC which doesn’t gathered enough votes as compare to the NPP, the region gets their share of the national cake.

He disclosed that, the electorates now realize that NDC is the only party to vote for because we vote for development, hence the need for the region to support the NDC to win the upcoming general elections towards development of the region.

He stressed that, the former President John Dramani Mahama has what it’s takes to rescue the economic mess cause by the NPP in the last seven years, because he is the only candidate with experience and the capability to ensure that the country experience total development.

He said the NPP government owes most of the contractors in the Ashanti region while businesses in the region collapsed,and for that matter, the need to support President Mahama and the NDC to restore and revive the business Community in the region and the country as a whole.
