A/R: Pork Meat increased to GH¢30, effective September 1, 2023.

The cost of a kilogram of Pork meat have been adjusted to GH¢30 effective from 1st September 2023.

The initial price per kilogram stood at GH¢26.

According to the Ashanti Regional Organiser of the Pig Famers and Producers Association,Mr Augustine Naah, the adjustment has become necessary due to high costs of production.

In an interview with Akoma Fm’s Antwi Boasiako…”he said, that soya beans, maize, drugs, transport, and labor costs among others have all gone up”

Mr Naah noted that,it has became prudent for them to adjust the prices to correspond to the rising cost of production to keep them in the business.

He, therefore, appealed to the patrons of the commodity to bear with them so that they could remain in business.
