Sanfi Community in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region has called on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II , Asantehene to intervention on land litigation that has ensued them and one Nana Amankwa Kodom ,chief of Adumasa, who claims is the rightful custodian of the Sanfi Community Land.
Speaking to the media at a press conference,Mr.Akwasi Bonsu, Caretaker Of Sanfi Community Lands made passionate appeal to the overlord of Asante who owns every land in the region to as a matter of urgency call the two parties in his palace for swift judgement.
According to him, the foregoing character has rendered his family into abject poverty and has also led to the killing of his family members by unknown people.
He revealed that, Nana Amankwa Kodom has been arresting them unnecessarily whenever they step foot on the land.
The rampant arrest by Nana Amankwa Kodom and other uncalled for behavior by the aforementioned character has deprived the community of development as anyone who expresses interest in acquiring land always recind their decision.
He said,the has never been peace in the community since Nana Amankwa Kodom started claiming ownership of the Sanfi stool lands.
