The Minority Chief Whip in the 8th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana who is also the Member of Parliament for Asowase Constituency in the Ashanti Region in the ticket of National Democratic Congress (NDC), Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed has said the NDC will surprise the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region come 2024 general elections.
According to him, the NDC Will show the NPP that, Ashanti Region is also the stronghold of NDC not only NPP.
Speaking at the 30th Anniversary Celebrations of the party held by the Ashanti Regional Executives, he said the NDC will not allow the NPP to rig the 2024 election in the region and also any act of manipulate the election will not see the light.
He therefore called on unity among the NDC members so that they can win 2024 general elections.
On his part, Mr Samuel Sarpong who is the former Ashanti Regional Minister also gave the history of the party.
