NDC is cosmopolitan party- desist from tribal sentiment to win 2024, NDC Chairman cautioned members

Mr. Yaw Owusu Bempeh, the former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given a strong warning members of the umbrella family to desist from anything tribalistic that could jeopadise the fortunes of the part wining the 2024 geberal elections
Addressing the party supporters at a press conference, he revealed that the rumors circulating within the party that some individuals or groups within the party started doing tribal politics in the wake of the reorganization of the party to win power could be a threat to win power in the next general elections, and cautioned such individuals to put a stop to that, should the rumors be true or blame themselves.
He explained that, the formation of the party National Democratic Congress(NDC) was formed as a cosmopolitan party, a party made of different tribes from different background and different cultures with a constitution that states in article nine (9) Clause (b) about affiliation which clearly state that, an organization whose membership is not based on ethnic or racial criteria, and reiterated that, the NDC accepts all tribes and does not condone or promote tribal politics in any form on any day.
According to him though, there are regional dynamics in terms of voting pattern which the Ashanti region is a classical example where they have different tribes but co-existed to work together in maximizing the fortunes of great party NDC since the time of revolution until date
The former two terms Ashanti regional Chairman pleaded with all the ranks and files of the party to desist from all forms of tribal comments and sentiments towards working together to promote a sense of unity and purpose to enable them win 2024 general elections.
He lamented that any party member who goes contrary to the advice or cautioned does not have the party at heart and have to blame him/herself, as there is the need to protect every single vote come 2024 general elections.
He stressed that the NDC party as the only hope for the Ghanaian electorates can not afford to disappoint the teaming population especially the Ghanaian youth and the fortunes of our party NDC.
