The newly entooled chief in the Atimatim Traditional Area in Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region, Nana Kofi Oppong lll, has advised Ghana’s parliamentarians to perform their core mandate as members of Parliament as far as democracy is concerned.
Speaking with Agyenkwa fm’s Obofo Michael at Atimatim in a grand durbar outdoors him as the new chief within the Atimatim Traditional Area, Nana Kofi Oppong lll, the uproar that popped up in Parliament over the passing of the electronic transaction levy (E-Levy) was disgusting and unpleasant for the house of Ghana’s Parliament.
He urged parliamentarians to focus on developmental projects aside from their legislative functions.
He expressed upset over the deplorable road networks in Kwabre East and Affigya Kwabre South and other consticuencies.
In addition, he urged his fellow chiefs to apply justice in their dealings with land purchases to bring peace among the people.
According to Nana Kofi Oppong lll, instigating land guards to claim land ownership does not bring peace and justice to society.
He advised Ghanaian youth to be humble in their actions and inactions.
