The 1993 Year Group of the Ahinsan Old Students Association (AOSA) has officially presented markerboad to the Ahinsan M/A JHS School to secure the school’s.
Presenting the items on behalf of the group, Mr Eric Akosah, Asokwa municipal Nadmo Co-director, the President of the 1993 Year Group of the Ahinsan Old Students Association (AOSA), said the gesture was to support the delivery of quality education in the school and to promote the teaching and, and also enhance the school’s academic performance.

The present at the ceremony was the queen mother of Ahinsan, Nana Akosua Fobi, Ahinsan Assamblyman, Hon Joseph Owusu aka (ANELKA) and some of the unite committee members.
Mr Eric Akosah , President of AOSA 93 presenting the markerboad to the school said the association decided to give the school a markerboad befitting its status when it came to their notice that the old one was malfunctioning.
Mr Eric Akosah said executive members of the Association, therefore, consulted management on how best they could help solve the problem, after which contributions were made towards it.
He added that as their alma mater, it was important to augment what the government was providing to ensure that it maintains its educational standards indicating that the Association was considering providing other needs of the school.
He said even though they completed the school 29 years ago, they still need to contribute in shaping them into what they have become in society and therefore they see it as a duty to give back to the school.
Mr Eric Akosah called on other year groups to emulate the gesture and choose a project to present to the school saying the entire school needs repainting and other things.
Mr Dennis Kutortse Dela , Headmaster of Ahinsan JHS said the markerboad came at the right time when it was urgently needed as the school chalkboard became bare when the old one got spoilt, “it was a big need as the chalkboard could not be used”.
He said even though the government was providing the school with all the things it promised it was important that the old students and parents also support to maintain the school’s academic prowess.
