On Sunday 19th December, 2021, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto demonstrated his affability and deep love for the Party’s Grassroots (Delegates) by dining and interacting with them at his private residence in Kumasi after the National Delegates Conference held in Kumasi, Ashanti region.
The Best Minister for Food and Agriculture Ever, affectionately called “The Legend”, after sponsoring six Food Stands to serve delegates free delicious food throughout the course of the Conference, followed in the evening with hosting dinner for hundreds of delegates across the country who called at his Danyame residence to display their unflinching support, gratitude and appreciation for his continuous dedication and support toward the welfare of the party’s base, Party and Government over the years.
Interacting with the Party Delegates, Dr. Akoto admonished that they stay committed and loyal to the Party’s ultimate goal of breaking the eight year jinx.
He further urged the Party Delegates to be ambassadors for the President Nana Addo led government through broadcasting the Government’s life changing programmes and policies.
Dr. Akoto, in furtherance, used the occasion to call for unity among the rank and file of the Party, and as well, admonished them to eschew unnecessary factionalism that has the tendency of deepening internal cracks of the Party.
Dr. Owusu Afriyie is the son of the Founder of the National Liberation Movement (NLM), Okyeame Baffuor Akoto. He is deemed by most political pundits and researchers as the most popular among the potential Presidential Aspirants.
