TCDA Engages Cashew Stakeholders in Bono Region

The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) has taken a significant step to boost the cashew industry in Ghana. Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, CEO of TCDA, recently met with stakeholders in the cashew value chain at Sampa in the Bono Region to discuss challenges and opportunities.

The meeting brought together cashew farmers, traders, processors, and other industry players to deliberate on issues affecting the sector.

The stakeholders discussed ways to increase production, improve quality, and enhance marketing strategies to boost the industry’s growth.

Dr. Okrah emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to address the challenges facing the cashew industry. He highlighted TCDA’s commitment to supporting the industry and promoting its growth as a major driver of job creation and livelihood improvement.

The stakeholders welcomed the initiative and pledged to work together to address the challenges facing the industry. They also called on the government to provide more support to the sector, including infrastructure development and access to finance.
