“Bahankra Waterfalls Hosts Successful World Tourism Day Celebration”

The Sekyere Kumawu District’s celebration of World Tourism Day marked a significant milestone with the unveiling of new tourist sites, including a breathtaking waterfall.

 

This event brought together key stakeholders, students,Nananom, and the community showcasing the district’s commitment to boosting tourism and agriculture.

Hon. Kwasi Amankwa, the district chief executive of Sekyere Kumawu appealed to the president for support in developing these sites to generate revenue for the district.

Hon Kwasi Amankwaa lead unveiled new sites, including a stunning waterfall, to attract visitors and promote cultural heritage.

The Regional Director of Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. Frederick Adjei-Randof,      assured the district of its support.

The Kumawu Traditional Leader, Nana Obeng Darko Acheampoma, representing Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua, expressed the chiefs’ willingness to collaborate in discovering and developing more tourist sites. He highlighted Kumawu’s rich history, including the legendary site where Nana Dwenti fought against death, and urged the government to support the development of these sites to attract visitors and promoteThis history has the potential to attract visitors and promote cultural tourism.
