Federation of Disability Calls on Ahafo Ano South West DCE

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a delegation from the Ghana Federation of Disability in the Ahafo Ano South West District, paid a courtesy call to the District Chief Executive, Abubakar Sedik.

The delegation led by the District President, Agyenim Boateng, congratulated the DCE on his appointment and confirmation. Also, they took the opportunity to brief the DCE on the challenges of the federation affecting persons with disabilities in the district. The issues included accessibility to public facilities and inclusion in local development initiatives taken by the Assembly.

The DCE, Abubakar Sedik expressed his appreciation for the visit and assured the federation members of his unwavering commitment to addressing their concerns.

He emphasised that he will run an all-inclusive administration where everyone matters. He noted that his doors are open to all for suggestions that will help achieve the developmental goals of the District.

“The Assembly remains focused on promoting inclusivity and ensuring that disability-related priorities are fully integrated into the district’s development agenda”, he said.

The DCE noted that the Assembly has proposed to support PWDs with income-earning equipment in the year 2025.

Also present at the meeting were the District Coordinating Director, Paul Atsu Agebezudor and the District Finance Officer, Nana Kwaku Duah.
