Hon. Abubakar Sedik pays courtesy calls on chiefs, calls for support

The District Chief Executive of the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Abubakar Sedik has appealed for total support from traditional authorities in the Ahafo Ano South West District to help him develop the District as the leader representing the President.

Hon. Abubakar Sedik made the appeal when he paid a courtesy call on Nana Safreadu Owusu Amankwatia Sampene, Chief of Mankranso and Nana Assaw Ababio, Chief of Wioso, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

The DCE’s visit to the chiefs individually in their palaces allowed him to officially introduce himself to them. He also used the occasion to share his vision with them and listen to the plights of the people to help in formulating measures to address them.

Mr. Abubakar Sedik assured the chief of Mankranso that a model market would be built in Mankranso to boost the local economy.

At Wioso, Mr. Sedik assured the chief and his elders that he would address the challenges confronting the opening of the Wioso market and make sure that the project is completed.

He said the Government is poised to deliver on its promises to the people of Ghana, and the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly will take the necessary steps to ensure they have their fair share of developments.

The chiefs assured the DCE of their readiness to offer the needed assistance to the Assembly for development.

The DCE was accompanied by the District Coordinating Director, Paul Atsu Agbezudor, some heads of department and some NDC party constituency executives.
