Gov’t is Committed to Combating Corruption and Promotes Accountability and good Governance, Chief of Staff

Mr Julius Debrah, the Chief of Staff to the His.Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) commitment in combating to corruption and Promotes Accountability in governance and in the public sector.
The Chief of Staff disclosed this at the launching of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Development Working Group recently stated that the working group is
 a significant step towards strengthening Ghana’s integrity framework.
 According to him, the initiative marks a renewed commitment to combating corruption and promoting transparency, accountability and good governance in the country.
He noted that the launch of the Working Group underscores the government’s unwavering dedication to creating a corruption-free environment by spearheading a national anti-corruption strategy.
He said the government is signaling a new era of zero tolerance for corrupt practices, ensuring that public officials and institutions serve the people with integrity.
According to him, the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Development Working Group is tasked with developing a comprehensive plan to tackle corruption in Ghana,  aims to identify and address systemic vulnerabilities to corruption.
He reiterated that the initiative is geared towards strengthening institutions and frameworks for accountability
and to promote transparency and good governance, says the initiative is to engage citizens and stakeholders in the fight against corruption.
The launch of the Working Group demonstrates the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance. By taking proactive steps to address corruption, the government is working to restore public trust and ensure that Ghana’s resources are utilized for the benefit of all citizens.
He indicated that the government is committed to creating a corruption-free environment, where public officials and institutions serve the people with integrity.
The Chief of Staff stressed that the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Development Working Group is expected to play a crucial role in shaping Ghana’s future, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability that benefits all citizens.
