*TCDA STRATEGIC BOARD MEETING AIMS TO DRIVE SUSTAINABILITY AND VALUE ADDITION*

The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) held a strategic board meeting with the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture

Hon. John Dumelo, as the guest speaker. The meeting focused on driving sustainability and value addition in Ghana’s agricultural sector through the Tree Crops Diversification Project (TCDP).

Hon. Dumelo highlighted the importance of the TCDP, describing it as a game-changer in the agricultural sector.

The project aims to transform six selected tree crops, including cashew, rubber, and coconut, beyond raw commodity export.

Anchored on four key pillars: Credibility, Expansion, Visibility, and Enforcement
Aims to achieve efficiency and global competitiveness by 2030.

The meeting emphasized the crucial role of all value chain actors in driving TCDA’s shared vision and commitment towards achieving its 2030 objectives. With the support of stakeholders, TCDA is building a sustainable and competitive tree crops industry for Ghana’s future.

The presence of key stakeholders, including the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, underscored the importance of collaboration in driving growth and development in the agricultural sector.
