GHANA’S YOUNGEST PRESIDING MEMBER GETS APPOINTMENT FROM NALAG

The presiding member of Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly in the Ashanti Region and Assembly member for Kunsu Dotiem electoral area Hon Eric Agyekum popularly called “Owura” has been appointed by the national association of local authorities of Ghana (NALAG) as a member of its International Relations Committee.

The vibrant politician Eric Agyekum is the youngest presiding member in Ghana currently and he brings his expertise to bear in public relations.

Background

Eric Agyekum popularly called “Owura” is the Presiding Member for the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly from 2020 to date and the Assembly Member for Kunsu Dotiem Electoral Area from 2015 to date. He was a member of the Social Services Sub-committee of the august house of the Assembly.

He attended Asokwa Amakom M/A JSS and was the Senior Boys’ Prefect. He proceeded to Saint Hubert’s Seminary for his secondary education.

He holds Diploma In Basic Education from
University of Cape Coast and a degree in BA English Language from University of Education Winneba, Kumasi Campus.

He is currently pursuing his masters degree in Communication Studies at the Christian Service University College .
