12th Congregation ceremony at kwadaso agriculture college

A congregation ceremony has been held for graduate students of the Kwadaso agriculture College who successfully completed their programmes in the 2021/2022 academic year.
The graduation ceremony has brought to campus graduands who have traveled from far and near with some accompanied by family and friends.


The Provost, CANS-UCC , Professor Moses Jojo Eghan,was the guest speaker for the ceremony highlighted the commitment of the College to remove barriers that restrict access and success.
He urged the graduating students to set high standards for themselves. He charged them to be law abiding citizens, contribute their quota to the building of the nation, hold onto their integrity no matter the cost and to give back to society whenever they have the opportunity.
He said the college continued to tain GCE/SSCE holder for a certificate in General Agriculture and all graduates with a certificate in General Agriculture were employed by the Ministry of food and Agriculture until 1999 when the programme was reviewed to train learners for the whole Agriculture sector.
Prof stated “The certificate programme which was been ran as a regular programme was successfully replaced by the Diploma in General Agriculture programme in June, 2009. Currently, Kwadaso Agricultural College runs;a two (2)year Diploma in Agriculture Top-up programme, three (3)years Diploma in Agriculture programme under the auspices of the University of cape coast and a year (2) year certificate in General agriculture under the Human Resources Development and management Directorate of the Ministry of food and Agriculture (MoFA).
It gives me great honour and privilege to deliver the key note address for 12th congregation ceremony and as part the centenary celebration of Kwadaso Agricultural College this faithful day and I would like to thank the college Board and management for this special occasion. Today we are graduating 98 Regular students made up 79 male and 19 female, Diploma Top – UP students 43 students made up of 29 males and 14 females and 123 certificates in General Agriculture students made up of 65 males and 48 females respectively.
Congregation is an important rite of passage in the life of every academic institution. For the graduating class, it is pinnacle of the year of hard work undertaking during their studies. It also proves to the years of hard work undertaking during their studies. It also proves to the stakeholders of the college and the world at large, that institution is alive to its responsibility of converting the ‘raw material’ of qualified candidates into the ‘finished product of qualified, world class professionals ready to positively impact society and contribute to the well-being of it people”.
He told them that there is great demand for graduates in the agricultural industry to help with issues such as agriculture extension and serving as a link between farmers, industry and research, Agriculture graduates have a role to play in Ghana on how to sustainable feed Ghana’s population that’s expected to reach nearly 56 million people by 2050.

The Principal of Kwadaso agriculture college ,Rev Benjamin Asante Mensah who d congratulated graduating students for their achievements, and urged graduands to be worthy ambassadors of the college and to strive to exhibit the core values of the University, which are loyalty, respect, integrity and commitment.

The valedictorian, Mr. Benjamin Dzidoklo, who graduated with a first class, recollected the long and often arduous journey which had brought them to their graduation day, and on behalf of the graduating class, thanked faculty, administrators and staff of Kwadaso Agricultural College of , as well as the families of graduating students, for their support.

He reminded his colleagues that there is the need for them all to be agents of change, and leaders of this generation; noting that their relevance to society will be measured according to the problems they solve and the legacy they leave behind.

He stated “the world is waiting for our input; our families need us, our society needs us, our country needs us, Africa needs us and the world needs us”.
