Hon Akwasi Konadu, the MP for Manhyia North constituency in the Ashanti region has collaborate with Lions Club international to feed widows numbering 85 within his constituency on Wednesday 22nd December 2021.
This was said to be part of his Christmas giveout, with the motive of putting smiles on the faces of our mother’s who have lost their husbands during the festivity.
At Krofrom Afoduor, each widow according to report, received a bag of rice, sardines, mackerel, vegetable oil and an amount of Ghc100.00.
In an interview with Hon Akwasi Konadu, he expressed that the gesture was made to bring the widows together to make merry and also seek for their directives and advice through his endeavour.
He also disclosed that one of his aims is to help the youth in the constituency learning any form of trade like hair dressing, fashion designing, shoe making and many more to secure a startup.
Kingdom news also spoke with Madam Abigail, Amoako president of the Kumasi Free Lion Club and she explained that the aim of the club is targetted at fighting diabetes, childhood cancer, vision and hunger relief.
She therefore disclosed that the club will organise a health screening program for chiefs at Manhyia Palace on 3rd March next year 2022 and hinted on some other scheduled programs of the club in 2022.
