*Ghana Takes Step Closer to Joining CPOPC* 🌟

A high-level delegation led by TCDA CEO Dr. Andy Osei Okrah attended the 30th Senior Officials Meeting and 13th Ministerial Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ghana aims to join the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) in 2026, seeking technical support and capacity building to boost its oil palm sector.

Key highlights:
– 100,000 hectares of new oil palm plantations planned
– Expected to create 250,000 jobs
– Part of a $500 million investment to strengthen the sector
– Ghana currently produces 70% of its palm oil needs, importing 30% at $200 million annually
