The Oil Palm Development Association of Ghana (OPDAG) leadership, led by President Mr. Paul Amaning, embarked on a mission to strengthen ties with the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA).
Their visit to TCDA CEO Dr. Andy Osei Okrah marked a significant step towards collaboration and growth in the oil palm sector.
As they sat down to discuss key issues, the association’s vision for a thriving industry was clear. Capacity building, anti-smuggling measures, quality seedlings, and advanced traceability tools were among the topics that took center stage.
Dr. Okrah listened intently, nodding in agreement as the association’s proposals aligned with the government’s agenda to boost local production.
The President’s call to tap into the global oil palm market, projected to reach $65 billion by 2027, resonated with Dr. Okrah. He assured OPDAG of TCDA’s full support, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in driving the sector’s growth.
As the meeting drew to a close, the stage was set for a fruitful partnership. OPDAG and TCDA would work together to enhance the oil palm sector, improving productivity, quality, and competitiveness.
