Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) undertook a working visit to all five Sub-Metropolitan offices under its jurisdiction.

The purpose of the tour was to officially introduce the new management team and strengthen engagement with staff at the sub-metro level.
This familiarization visit was also aimed at aligning the operations of the sub-metro offices with the overarching KMA NADMO Action Plan and the Annual Action Plan. This will foster direct communication and collaboration, the leadership seeks to ensure uniformity in planning and execution across all sub-metro offices.
In addition, a comprehensive training programme has been scheduled to enhance the capacity of key personnel particularly Sub-Metro Operations Heads, their Deputies, and Administrators.
The training will focus on effective report writing and formal communication, with the goal of improving coordination between the sub-metro offices and the central KMA NADMO office.
The tour was both impactful and refreshing, leaving staff motivated and better positioned to deliver on NADMO’s mandate within the Metropolis.
During the tour, it became clear that staffing levels varied significantly across sub-metros: some were overstaffed, while others were struggling with severe shortages.
The team also flagged several critical issues with operational infrastructure computers and printers malfunctioning and lack of furniture(tables and chairs)
