The sixteen Regional Communications Officers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) commend H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for his inspiring leadership, wisdom, fairness, and statesmanship in addressing the recent public discourse surrounding Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi.
President Mahama’s thoughtful and balanced response demonstrates his maturity, magnanimity, and vision. By acknowledging the merit of the situation and Mr. Gyamfi’s sincere public apology, he has underscored the importance of accountability, forgiveness, and humility in public life.
We believe Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi acted in good faith, and his gesture was one of misguided generosity rather than misconduct. His competence, vision, and drive are unmistakable, as evident in his successful establishment and management of the Ghana Gold Board.
We salute Mr. Gyamfi for his calm, maturity, and dignity in handling the matter. The withdrawal of the complaint filed against him at CHRAJ is a testament to his strength of character.
The sixteen Regional Communications Officers and our able deputies stand firmly in solidarity with Sammy Gyamfi, Esq. We are confident that his commitment to Ghana’s progress and the NDC will continue to shine through his actions.
