Safianou Nassamou Akwasi, a parliamentary candidate hopeful for the NDC in the Suame constituency has indicated that the NDC has stayed in opposition in the Suame constituency for a longer period which according to him shouldn’t have been the case hence his intention to contest in the upcoming primaries to ensure he secures the seat back for NDC.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Aduanaba Agyenim Boateng on Agyenkwa fm 101.9 fm morning show, Akwasi Safianou who is also a the CEO of Nyankonton Solar Energy Products LTd,Mr Safianou Nassamou has called on delegates in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Suame constituency to consider his candidature in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the party.
He emphasized that he will stay in complete unity with party executives and supporters and ensure he works hard to capture the parliamentary and presidential seat for NDC in the Suame constituency.
He finally revealed that this has not been his first attempt to contest the seat because he commenced his ambitions in 2016 when he was convinced to step aside as well as in 2020 therefore he sees this year as the best year for him to lead the party to triumph over NPP hence he is optimistic and confident about his decisions.
He explains that he is coming as a unifier with quality leadership skills and a sociable administration where all and sundry can approach the office of the MP with their grievance and be dealt with as expected.
He stressed that,his background in technical education has offered him several opportunities through which he can also help in creating jobs in the constituency.
