As part of plans High School (OKESS) in the Ashanti region of Ghana has launched it initiatives to build up the school.
The Occasion which was on the theme; 85 years of holistic education, the story of Okess has brought together some government officials, management of the school as well as the old students association.

The MCE for Tafo Municipal Assembly, *Hon Lord Innusa Lansah* who graced the occasion disclosed his support to the school to bring back the spirit of sports activities which gain the school name for so many years to be rekindle to help the achievement of the school.
He therefore commends the NPP government Free SHS initiative which is helping millions of the youth to make good use of the offer as so many find it difficult to afford the school prospectus but as they are enjoying free education without paying fees, they have to take studies seriously.
However, the Headmaster of the school, *Mr Micheal Mensah* addressing the press lamented on the challenges faced in the school which he plead on the government to complete abandoned school blocks which some are almost done but left with windows and doors as he is working hard but should complete what he has started to help the school development.

The school which was founded in the year 1937 has produced notable personalities and now had a student population of 4,500 and still having admission.
Again, he hinted that, the free SHS is helping a lot which most has been benefited with good grades and appealing to the government to provide sufficient money and foods .
Lastly, *Nana Yaw Agyemang Sekyere* who is Tafo Nkosuohene representative of Tafomanhene the co- chairman of the occasion with the media advise the students to lain on education which is the only beneficial opportunity for mankind as they are celebrating the 85th anniversary.
