The Tree Crops Development Authority, under CEO Dr Andy Osei Okrah, gathered farmers, processors, aggregators and regional officials in Techiman, Bono East, to fine‑tune the pricing framework for the upcoming cashew season.

The meeting reviewed global market trends, production forecasts, quality standards and moisture‑content thresholds that feed into the pricing model. All participants agreed on a transparent, fair and stable approach, underscoring TCDA’s commitment to sector stability . Earlier this year the Authority announced a minimum producer price of GH¢ 15.00 per kilogram for the 2025 cashew season, a figure derived from the same indicators discussed at the Techiman forum .

Dr Okrah also paid a courtesy call on Bono East Regional Minister Hon Francis Owusu Antwi, who attended the stakeholder session, highlighting the government’s support for the cashew value chain.
