*Muntaka Mubarak Celebrates Completion of 400‑Bed Dormitory at Kumasi Academy After 12‑Year Wait*

What a milestone! After a twelve‑year journey—with construction pauses and plenty of perseverance—the Asawase MP finally cut the ribbon on a brand‑new 400‑bed dormitory and a 24‑seater toilet block for Kumasi Academy SHS.

The new facilities are set to ease congestion, boost discipline and create a more comfortable learning environment for students.

At the ceremony, Muntaka described the moment as “a great fulfillment,” and he was joined by the Municipal Chief Executive, the Director of Education, traditional leaders, and school staff. Headmaster Samuel Gato thanked the MP, saying there’ll be no more classroom or dormitory headaches and even asked the authorities to add some fun at the teachers’ bungalow to keep the boarding system thriving.

The project, initially launched back in 2013, had faced delays, but the MP’s persistence paid off, delivering much‑needed infrastructure for the school’s growing roll‑call.
