*TCDA Chief Executive Welcomes Akuapem Traditional Council Delegation, Reaffirms Partnership on Tree‑Crop Development*

Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, Chief Executive Officer of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), received a high‑level delegation from the Office of the Okuapehene on Tuesday for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening ties between the Authority and the Akuapem Traditional Council.

The delegation, led by Okyeame Kofi Afari Anaafi (Okuapehene Kyeame), Nana Asiama Bekoe (Okuapehene Pampimhene), Nana Yaa Ampem Darkoa I (Akuapem Nkabomhene) and Radnor Asafo Adjei, Executive P.A. to the Okuapehene, arrived to convey the heartfelt appreciation of Obremponkese Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, Okuapehene and President of the Akuapem Traditional Council, and the 2025 Akuapem Odwira Planning Committee. Their gratitude centered on Dr. Osei Okrah’s participation in this year’s Odwira Festival, which attracted several high‑profile dignitaries.

In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Osei Okrah thanked the delegation for the thoughtful gesture and reaffirmed the strong relationship between TCDA and traditional leadership. “Traditional authorities remain indispensable partners in driving our vision,” he said. “We are committed to deepening collaboration with the Akuapem Traditional Council to expand key selected tree crops within the Akuapem enclave.”

The CEO highlighted that the partnership is vital for advancing TCDA’s core focus areas: value‑chain development, increased productivity, and improved economic opportunities for farmers. “Such a relationship is essential for unlocking the full agricultural potential of the Akuapem area,” Dr. Osei Okrah added, assuring the delegation of TCDA’s readiness to work hand‑in‑hand with traditional leaders.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing optimism about the future of tree‑crop development and the transformative benefits it promises for the people of Akuapeman. The visit underscored a shared commitment to fostering sustainable growth through cooperative effort between governmental agencies and traditional institutions.
