The sun beat down on the vibrant streets of Moshie Zongo as Chief Alhaji Amadu Ibrahim Janda addressed a grand durbar, marking his 10th anniversary as Chief. With passion and conviction, he urged parents to instill fellow feelings and good moral values in their children.
“We must guide our children with love and fervent prayers, rather than curses,” Chief Janda emphasized. “When children are properly trained, parents will have peace of mind, and our society will flourish.”
The Chief’s words resonated deeply with the audience. Yusif Abubakar, Chairman of the Moshie Zongo Development Fund, highlighted the organization’s efforts in promoting education and reducing social vices. The Fund had enrolled apprentices in seamstress and carpentry, provided education for street kids, and partnered with organizations to support the community.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Old Tafo, Mr. Abubakar Sadiq, commended Chief Janda’s efforts and called for the establishment of a rehabilitation center for those affected by substance abuse. Together, they aimed to build a better society for the people of Moshie Zongo.
As the durbar concluded, the community was filled with a sense of hope and determination. With the Chief’s leadership and the Development Fund’s initiatives, Moshie Zongo was poised for a brighter future.
