Hon Hajia Nasira Afrah (MP)has distinct privilege of representing the good people of Sekyere Afram Plains as part of Ghana’s delegation to the Ministerial Meeting on the Implementation of Follow-Up Action on the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo held in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. As a member of parliament and the Foreign Affairs Committee, she was honored to join her colleagues in advancing discussions on strengthening China-Africa cooperation in various areas.

The FOCAC meeting and expo provided a platform for Ghana to engage with China on key issues, including trade, agriculture, infrastructure, capacity building, and sustainable development. These areas of cooperation have the potential to drive economic growth, improve living standards, and promote sustainable development in Ghana.

During the meeting, we had the opportunity to share Ghana’s experiences and perspectives on how to strengthen China-Africa cooperation. We also had fruitful discussions with Chinese officials and business leaders on potential areas of collaboration, including investment, trade, and technology transfer.

The expo showcased the latest advancements in various fields, including agriculture, manufacturing, and infrastructure development. It was an excellent opportunity for Ghanaian businesses and entrepreneurs to learn from their Chinese counterparts and explore potential partnerships.

Ghana’s active participation in FOCAC 2025 reaffirms our commitment to global partnerships that support youth empowerment, inclusive economic growth, and a prosperous future for our people. We believe that these partnerships will help us address our development challenges and improve the lives of our citizens.

As a representative of Sekyere Afram Plains, Hon Hajia Afrah said she is committed to ensuring that the benefits of these partnerships are felt in her constituency and across Ghana. She look forward to working with her colleagues and stakeholders to promote economic development and improve the lives of our people.
