The people of Obuasi East deserve their voices to be heard and their mandate respected.

On December 20th, the High Court delivered its ruling on the mandamus application on five constituency, yet glaringly, the decision did not include Obuasi East. This omission is not a mere oversight but a clear indication of a broader agenda. Evidence points to a deliberate collaboration between the Electoral Commission (EC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to undermine the will of the people of Obuasi East.

This calculated maneuver seeks to distort the voice of the people, but let me state categorically: legally, the first declaration stands. Any subsequent actions or declarations outside the law cannot and will not be recognized as valid.

As we continue to challenge this blatant disregard for justice, I urge all stakeholders to act within the bounds of the law and in the interest of democracy. The people of Obuasi East deserve their voices to be heard and their mandate respected.

We remain resolute in our pursuit of justice and call on all democratic forces to stand with us in defending the sanctity of our electoral process.

Thank you.

Hon Aboagye Samuel
Parliamentary Candidate, Obuasi East
