NPP is a squandered administration in the annals of Ghanaian governance, prompting the urgent need for their removal – Haruna Iddrissu

The Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Tamale South constituency in the Northern region has asserted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) represents a squandered administration in the history of Ghana.

He emphasized that the persistent mishandling of the nation’s economy under the governance of Akuffo-Addo/Bawumia was a compelling reason to completely eliminate them in the upcoming general elections.

The Tamale lawmaker articulated these sentiments while addressing a multitude of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters at the Asawase constituency during a physical fitness event and the launch of the constituency’s political campaign season over the weekend.

In his statement, Mr. Iddrissu highlighted that Ghanaians have come to acknowledge their errors in bringing the NPP into power, as they had been misled by a series of falsehoods prior to the 2016 elections.
He expressed the NDC’s unwavering commitment to ensuring vigilant oversight of all ballot boxes, urging all NDC supporters to heighten their 24-hour surveillance of the economy at all polling stations.

Furthermore, he assured that the next NDC government was dedicated to enlisting qualified individuals into the security services to ensure a standardization of services free from favoritism.

Addressing the party faithfuls after the physical fitness session, Mr. Muntala Mohammed Ibrahim, MP for Tamale Central, encouraged them to secure Muntaka Mubarak’s position in Parliament by casting their votes overwhelmingly in his favor.

Regarding Dr. Bawumia, he underscored the continuous dissemination of falsehoods to the Ghanaian populace as a Muslim, signaling a wake-up call to recognize his lack of substantive offerings to the people of Ghana, and more significantly, his disservice to Islam.

Mr. Francis Xavier Sosu, MP for Madina, reassured Ghanaians that the next NDC government would reclaim all state lands that had been unlawfully sold by the negligent NPP administration for management.

The host MP, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, praised his fellow MPs for their unwavering support during the campaign launch and urged party supporters to adopt a strategy of overseeing their ballots during the counting process to prevent any instances of electoral fraud.

He affirmed to the NPP that the NDC was fully prepared to meet them head-on and that any attempts at theft would be thwarted.

This occasion marked the initiation of the NDC’s campaign in the Ashanti region, with a goal of securing 35% of the region’s votes. The party remains optimistic about securing victory in the upcoming elections.

The event was attended by prominent NDC figures, including the Ashanti regional Chairman Augustus Nana Kwasi, Francis Xavier Sosu, MP for Madina, Ibrahim Muntala, Adams Abdul Salam, MP for New Edubiase, Dr. Asad Awal Abass, a former Parliamentary aspirant for Ejura, Mr. Faisal Dauda, the constituency chairman, among others.
