Mr Seth Osei Akoto (aka Nana Sekyere) parliamentary candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Atwima Mponua Constituency, has donated over 2,930 mathematical sets to each Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate from Junior High Schools both government and private schools in the Mponua Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
According to Mr Seth Osei Akoto, the gesture was to inspire and encourage the candidates to have confidence in writing their BECE examination and come out successful towards their future aspirations to become responsible adults in society.
He noted that education was important to a country’s Socio-economic and political development which when delivered, helped to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
In that vein, he said he would be extremely excited to see student becoming lawyers, educational, soldiers, commissioned police officers, businesses entrepreneurs and other professionals to help build Mponuaman.
He pledged his commitment to sponsor students to perform well.
Mr Akoto pointed out that president Akuffo Addo Dankwa and the NPP administration recognizes the significance of education and committed to fulfilling its flagship policy of free senior high school in the country.
Making the presentation through the District Director of Education. Mr Akoto further expressed his commitment towards the pursuit of quantity education in the District.
Receiving the items for onward distribution on behalf of the District Director of education,Mr Ekow Anane Human Resources officer at the Directorate, was grateful to Mr Akoto for his kind gesture.
Some of the candidate also expressed their appreciation towards the parliamentary candidate in Atwima mponua constituency and promised to learn hard to achieve their aim.
