The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Blue Queens in Ashanti region, a women’s group seeking women empowerment in the region and the country as a whole, adding their voice on the numerous calls from the rank and file of the party and other stakeholders to urging Dr Mahammud Bawumia, the flagbearer of the party to as a matter of urgency select a female to partner him in the upcoming general elections to ensure that the victory becomes a mere formality for the party.
Speaking at a press conference in Kumasi today ,Thursday, Madam Asantewaah Faustina , secretary to the group expressed their optimism that a female factor could play a major role in breaking the 8.
She stressed that, they as women are 100% ready to solidly reckon behind and with a strong Christian background who would be considered as a running mate for Dr Mahammud Bawumia devoid of ethnic, tribal and lineage intrusion.
According to them, they need a woman with a strong politic-Christian back ground dexterously with both the orthodox and charismatic churches, as they fervently believe that amalgamation of a female with a sturdy Christian setting and a Muslim Dr. Mahammud Bawumia would result to herculean formidable team which will serve as impermeable bedrock to the NPP victory in 2024.
The NPP Blue Queens indicated that, it’s long overdue for them to add their voice to the numerous calls on Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia and all stakeholders in the new patriotic party and its relations to consider a woman as a running mate in the upcoming 2024 general elections to ensure a resounding victory.
