Maakye Morning show Host at Kessben fm 93.3 in Kumssi, Hon Akuoko Kwarteng has been attacked by unknown persons for allegedly defending LGBTQ+ activists in the country.
The barbaric attack occurred when he had gone to buy food at one of the most popular Waakye joints after successfully hosting the programme on the fateful day.
Narrating his ordeal to this online portal, the kingdomnewsgh.com journalist Nana Appiah indicated he went to buy food and upon reaching the food joint adjacent to the Zongo police station, he was approached by four guys from no where who started to question him about alleged forbidden words on his maakye morning show.
He said, before he could say something, his Toyota car was smashed and all the door handles destroyed.
According to him, he had only expressed his opinion on issues regarding the passing of LGBTQ+ law which is before Parliament.
He stated that the debate on whether or not Ghanaians should legalize LGBTQ in the country was not a priority for now and that they should leave those interested in the activities alone.
He went further to say that whether we like it or not, the activities are still ongoing and it is happening among both married and unmarried individuals.

This, he suspects, didn’t go down well with those against LGBTQ+ activities in the country and hence the attack.
Hon. Kwabena Akuoko Kwarteng condemned the trend where journalists are attacked for expressing their opinions nowadays.
