Former President resident John Mahama says the NDC government remained committed to developing mining communities in the country.
According to John Mahama the erstwhile administration undertook projects in the mining communities especially in Obuasi and it’s environs.
He revealed that, his government started the Anglo gold-Ashanti ODD project during his tenure of office in 2014 but couldn’t complete and hence assures the natives of the town of a developed township should he be elected into office in 2025.
John Mahama and his entourage who began day two of the Building Ghana Tour of the Ashanti Region first visited the Adanse land where he paid a courtesy call on the Adansihene, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II.
Addressing chief of Adansi Fomena and his Subjects John Mahama reiterated plans of the NDC for the mining communities.
