Mid-year budget review presentation postponed

The mid-year budget presentation in Parliament has been postponed.

It is unclear why the presentation did not occur today, Tuesday, July 25 however, it has been adjourned to Monday, July 31.

There was a haggle in Parliament last Friday over the presentation date as the government wanted it done on Thursday, July 27.

The exercise is in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) and Regulation 24 of the Public Financial Management Regulations (L.I. 2378).

The presentation reviews the government’s 2023 Economic Policy and Financial Statement delivered to Parliament by Mr Ofori-Atta on Thursday, November 24.
