Election 2024: Ghanaians Prefer Alan To Bawumia- New Poll

A new opinion poll by Global InfoAnalytics shows that should the NPP primaries go into a runoff, Former Trade and Industry Minister Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen would win by 57 per cent votes to 43 per cent to Vice-President Dr Alhaji Mahmoud Bwumia, his closest competitor.

In the initial round of the primaries Hon Kyerematen will still win by 30 per cent votes to 29 per cent for Dr Alhaji Bawumia. Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Adjapong will take the third position with 23 per cent votes, the research said. The remainder will go to other contenders and those ‘undecided’.

This is the third successive time an InfoAnalytics survey has predicted a win for Hon. Kyerematen in the impending NPP Presidential primaries to select their leader for the 2024 General elections.

The researchers put the poll sample at 5,490 with a confidence interval of 99%. The margin of error stood at plus or minus 1.737%.

In all, 75 constituencies
with a total voter population of 4,877,028 were selected under a
random simulation model.
The governing New Patriotic Party has set November 4, 2023 as date for its presidential primaries to select a flag bearer that will lead the party into 2024 general election.
Hon Kyerematen is seen by many to win primaries.
