The Oti Regional office of GTA has celebrated this year’s national chocolate day with the travelling populace at Dambai. The Oti Regional Director, Mr Isaac Asiam lead a team of officers to distribute chocolates to passengers on board the ferry MV Nana Besemuna.

In a brief speech delivered by Mr Isaac Asiam, he gave a short history of how the Ministry of Tourism ànd GTA made a conscious effort to change the erroneous notion of promiscuity among the youth all in the name of love, to showing true love by sharing and consuming chocolate on valentine’s day.

He went on to underscore the benefits of consuming chocolate. He said the anti oxidants contained in chocolate helps to prevent cancer, cardiovascular disease among others. He went on to encouraged the consumption of chocolate since it also promote development and offer employment to the youth.

After his speech, he offered the pack of chocolate to the captain of the ferry and his crew. The team also shared chocolate to the passengers. The captain expressed his appreciation to GTA and assured the Director of their maximum support in subsequent programmes.
The team and the passengers enjoyed the fanfare on the ferry as they celebrate the occasion of love.
Passengers took turns to praise the gesture of Mr Isaac Asiam and his team.
