Mr. Marvin Norman, Ashanti regional Treasurer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has added his voice on a section of people who want the former President John Dramani Mahama to go unopposed in the upcoming presidential primaries.

According to him, the small resources the party is having must be preserve for the big fight in the the upcoming general elections in 2024.
He stated that, there is the to stop wasting resources on what he described as needless internal contest.
He was of the view that, NDC must organise well in resource mobilisation for the 2024 elections
He stated that. If NDC did not organized their resources well, they should forge the 2024 elections, because the NPP knows what they mean about breaking the 8
He said the NPP has already put measures in place to ensure that, they break the 8.
He noted that, there is the need for the NDC to be break the NPP measures in place towards breaking the 8 lobby leaving no room for more exciting opportunities that will benefit everyone.
He said Political campaigns in Africa and for that matter Ghana are extremely expensive and for that matter, losing elections for two consecutive times or more can be detrimental to a political party.
Raising funds for subsequent campaigns could be difficult since few intrepid financiers would want to support a serial loser.
He disclosed that, the 2019 NDC presidential elections, President John Mahama got 95.20% votes when six other candidates contested him. Though he won overwhelmingly, he spent a huge amount of money to campaign just to lead the party, the money he said money could have been saved towards the main elections.
