At a fund raising program in aid of the construction of a KG block at Hwibaa in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region on Tuesday October 25, 2022, the District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon Joseph Frimpong Bonsu, encouraged parents and guardians to consider selecting TVET schools for their wards in the upcoming Senior High School selection process.
He added that students who will choose TVETS programmes are rest assured of being gainfully employed by themselves and have the potential of becoming entrepreneurs to create jobs for others to reduce unemployment in the country.
TVET is free in all public TVET institutions which has been enrolled under the free senior high school policy.
The DCE explained that, the number of TVET schools have risen from 47 to 186 as part of measures to promote TVET programmes and urged the gathering to consider it for their wards.
